Vocational Nursing Clinical Coordinator

Stanbridge University is seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven, and operationally strong professional to serve as the Vocational Nursing Clinical Coordinator. This role is primarily responsible for developing and managing clinical partnerships, overseeing clinical faculty performance, and ensuring high-quality student clinical experiences in alignment with BVNPT and institutional standards.This position functions as a critical operational leader within the Vocational Nursing program, balancing external partnership development, faculty oversight, and instructional alignment. Teaching responsibilities are included to maintain instructional consistency and program integration.Essential FunctionsClinical Partnerships & Site DevelopmentBuild, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clinical partners across hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other healthcare settingsDevelop and maintain a pipeline of clinical sites to support current and future program growthLead outreach, negotiation, onboarding, and approval of new clinical sitesComplete and maintain clinical affiliation agreements and BVNPT applicationsEnsure all clinical sites meet regulatory, accreditation, and institutional requirementsProvide strategic recommendations to expand and diversify clinical partnershipsFaculty Oversight & DevelopmentOrient, mentor, and support new clinical faculty, monitoring performance throughout the first 90 daysConduct faculty evaluations, including classroom and clinical observations (90-day and annual reviews)Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management for clinical instructorsFacilitate quarterly clinical faculty training sessions to ensure consistency and instructional qualityEnsure faculty compliance with institutional policies, documentation requirements, and regulatory standardsStudent Clinical Experience & OutcomesOversee student clinical placements to ensure alignment with course and program objectivesMonitor clinical hour completion and competency progression for all studentsIdentify at-risk students and coordinate remediation plans in collaboration with faculty and Student ServicesEnsure all student and faculty health and compliance documentation (e.g., Complio) is current and audit-readyInstruction & CoverageTeach one clinical assignment per term to maintain instructional alignment with program standardsProvide clinical coverage as needed, including substituting for open or emergent clinical shiftsConduct routine clinical site visits and lab check-ins to ensure instructional quality and complianceCompliance, Reporting & Program OperationsEnsure all clinical operations comply with BVNPT regulations and applicable accreditation standardsConduct course and documentation audits to ensure timely grade submission and complianceMaintain accurate, audit-ready records for clinical sites, faculty, and studentsProvide regular reporting to the Assistant Director, including:Clinical site acquisition pipeline and statusFaculty onboarding and performance updatesClinical site, faculty, or student concernsParticipate in departmental committees and shared governance activitiesContribute to program initiatives and special projects as assignedParticipate in a rotating weekend on-call scheduleCore CompetenciesClinical partnership development and relationship managementFaculty coaching, resolutionEffective communication and cross-functional collaborationQualificationsCurrent and active California license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) requiredBachelor's degree requiredMinimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience within the past five (5) yearsExperience in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, or comparable patient care settingsCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certificationPrevious teaching or clinical instruction experience preferredExperience with clinical site coordination, faculty oversight, or academic program support strongly preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Up-to-date immunization records requiredCompensation$90,000-$110,000 annuallyCompensation is based on education, experience
