Senior Java Developer / Team Lead, #960Clearance: Clearance: U.S. Citizenship is required and the ability to obtain the required government Public Trust security clearance.Dev Technology Group is recruiting for a Senior Java Application Developer to enhance and maintain a system that automates critical processes for both our government customer and aliens in the US. The ideal candidate is a full stack developer with some DevOps experience, who can work both independently and collaboratively and is interested in supporting an important government mission.What You'll Be DoingYou will work as an active member of an Agile development team, responsible for participating in all Agile ceremonies, updating Jira tasks daily, and contributing to our continuous improvement processes. You will work together with team members and stakeholders to design, develop, test, and implement secure solutions that meet the client’s needs and efficiently utilize system resources. You will assist other developers in building and maintaining our Non-Production environments and CI/CD pipeline. You will troubleshoot complex issues in Production and Non-Production environments, while providing Production Tier III support. You will learn new technical skills as needed to support the program.Required Education, Skills And ExperienceBachelor’s degree plus at least 7 years of work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, supporting Java applications that leverage the Spring frameworkExperience with solution architecture, designing, and implementing cloud-based and/or cloud-hosted solutionsExperience working in an Agile Scrum environment, using Jira or a similar tool7+ years of experience using Angular and/or JavaScript5+ years of experience with CI/CD working in an automated development environment, using DevOps tools such as Git, Terraform, CloudBees/Jenkins, Ansible, Nexus, Gradle/Apache Maven7+ years of experience with Spring Boot7+ years of experience writing SQL and working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and managing data modelsExperience with and understanding of PKI and TLS/SSLExperience writing automated unit tests with JunitExperience designing/developing secure solutions compliant with the Federal Information Management Security Act (FISMA) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Security Standards and Security RequirementsExperience developing applications that utilize memory efficiently and diagnosing/fixing memory leaksExperience with Configuration/Release management, as well as creating effective branching strategiesExperience developing integrated solutions with federal information technology systemsAbility to translate business requirements into working codeAbility to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceededAbility to understand complex business processes and how they relate to the systems supporting themAbility to research a problem, identify a root cause, and recommend/implement a solutionAptitude for picking up technology quickly, along with a desire to learn and progressGood communication skills, both written and verbalComfortable working in a remote environmentDemonstrated passion for solving complex software challengesPreferred Skills And ExperienceBachelor's in Computer Science or related fieldExperience with Material UIExperience with SonarQube or other code quality toolsExperience with AWS Cloud tools and/or developing in and deploying to a Cloud environmentExperience with Node.jsExperience with ActiveMQ/ArtemisMQExperience with AWS ALB and NLBExperience with AppDynamics and/or other performance monitoring and IT Operations analytics toolsExperience in undergoing Security Audits and writing Security SOPs, as well as knowledge of/compliance with NIST controlsExperience applying The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) in Agile solution designs to minimize technical debt and improve overall velocityExperience implementing the MVC Development Methodology (Model/View/Controller)Experience designing solutions with a Microservices software architectureExperience developing interfaces compliant with National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) standardsExperience creating and updating data dictionariesProficient in network communication protocols, ports, routing, proxy settings, and firewall policiesICE cleared or any other current DHS clearanceOur estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $160,000.
