This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple states while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with payroll systems, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProcess bi-weekly and monthly payroll accurately and on time using WorkdayEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictionsCoordinate payroll tax filings and payments through OSVReview and reconcile payroll data, including earnings, deductions, and benefit withholdingsAudit and verify timekeeping records for completeness and accuracyInvestigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely mannerMaintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity within WorkdayEnsure retirement account contributions and loan repayments are processed, funded, and maintained accuratelyPrepare and compile data for annual Workers’ Compensation and 401(k) auditsMonitor and process employee promotions, transfers, and terminations in a timely and accurate mannerSupport year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distributionCollaborate with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate payroll processingRespond to employee payroll-related inquiries professionally and promptlyAssist with audits and provide supporting documentation as neededRequired Skills & AbilitiesStrong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including multi-state payroll requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for reporting and analysisExperience with Workday or similar payroll systems preferredAbility to develop, improve, and maintain end-to-end payroll processing procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and complianceFamiliarity with payroll tax services such as OSV or similar platformsHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizationAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills with the ability to explain payroll information clearlyAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionDemonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking, and professionalismWorks effectively both independently and as part of a teamEducation & ExperienceAssociate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred2–4 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environmentWe Put People First in all that we do.
