Mechanical Contractor Shop QC Technician (Dallas)

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Mechanical Contractor's Quality Control (QC) Technician to join our dynamic team. The Shop QC Technician will play a critical role in ensuring that our mechanical construction projects meet the highest standards of quality. If you are a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in mechanical contracting and quality assurance, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities: 1. Quality Control Oversight: • Inspect materials, products, and work in progress. • Inspect fabrications in process for compliance with specifications and drawings • Inspect welds for compliance with various codes • Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure proper assembly of parts or assist in testing and monitoring activities. 2. Document Management: • Mark items for acceptance or rejection • Maintain welding documentation including, weld logs, welding procedures, and welder qualifications. • Maintain receiving and inspection documentation for received materials and equipment. 3. Training and Education: • Support shop personnel in facilitating quality control processes, procedures, and best practices. • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization. 4. Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination: • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that materials and equipment meet specified quality standards. • Coordinate any 3rd party NDE/NDT required.
