Director of Acquisitions Facilities and Industrial Services

The client is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to join their leadership team in a well-established manufacturing business. The role is critical in driving financial performance and ensuring strong governance within the organization. The ideal candidate should possess a blend of deep technical expertise and commercial insight, providing guidance that facilitates sustainable growth and operational excellence. This leadership position requires the Finance Director to work from the office five days a week and engage in the preparation of statutory and management accounts for the entire group, delivering financial analysis for strategic decision-making. The Finance Director will manage the accounts team both in the UK and internationally, serving as a line manager to key personnel. This involves supporting and guiding the team and implementing necessary improvements. The role also includes overseeing the operations of the HR function. Responsibilities encompass preparing consolidated financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS, leading the preparation of year-end financial statements, managing group cash flow and treasury operations, and coordinating external audits. Additionally, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and completing regulatory returns are crucial aspects of the role. Candidates must possess strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information to various stakeholders, demonstrate autonomy in leading a finance function, and have proven leadership experience, ideally overseeing both finance and HR functions. International exposure, particularly within US and European regions, is important, along with expertise in manufacturing sector finance management.
