Your efforts make a real difference in people's lives.What You'll Do:The Box Truck Driver/Material Handler is responsible for safe and efficient transportation, loading, unloading, and handling of donated goods to and from retail stores, donation centers, and warehouses. This role plays a key part in supporting daily logistics and inventory movement for a mission-driven retail operation.Job Type: Full-time, HourlyHourly Rate: $22.00 per hourShift: 8-hour shift, scheduled for 40-hours per weekFlexible schedule; availability for mornings, evenings, and weekendsResponsibilities:Operate box truck to transport donated goods between donation centers, retail stores, warehouses, and recycling partners.Load and unload goods using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or by hand as required.Ensure proper securing of cargo and adherence to weight limits.Inspect vehicles before and after use to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance issues.Assist in organizing and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the warehouse and loading docks.Follow scheduled routes and maintain communication with dispatch and retail locations.Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, and any incidents.Provide courteous and professional customer service when interacting with donors, store staff, and the public.Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and DOT standards.What You'll Bring:Valid driver's license with a clean record and For Hire (or Chauffeur's) endorsementExperience driving box trucks (1626 ft.) and handling materialsAbility to lift 5075 lbs. repeatedly and work in all weather conditionsStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsKnowledge of local area, equipment, and material handling techniquesProfessional, dependable, and safety-conscious work ethicFlexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekendsDOT physical clearance and ability to pass background, drug, and alcohol screeningsForklift certification (or willingness to obtain)Neat appearance with steel toe boots worn at all timesPreferred:Experience in retail, warehouse, or nonprofit operations.Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).Employee Benefits:For Full-Time Employees, Goodwill offers a total rewards package of: competitive wages, bonus eligibility, annual merit increase eligibility, paid sick time, paid vacation days, 10 paid holidays annually, employee health clinics, dental, medical, HSA, vision, retirement plan, life insurance, student loan forgiveness eligible, employee discount, and mileage reimbursement.We value a variety of backgrounds, including those who have had prior contact with the criminal legal system.
