Get ready to unearth your true potential and dig into the exciting world of HEI Civil!We are looking to hire an experienced Rock Truck Operator to join our Dallas team!Responsibilities:Safely operate articulated rock trucks (and other heavy equipment as needed) to transport dirt, rock, aggregate, and other materials on civil construction job sites.Support earthwork operations by maintaining efficient haul cycles in coordination with excavators, dozers, graders, and loaders.Operate equipment in compliance with all company safety policies, job site rules, and applicable traffic laws.Maintain three points of contact when entering and exiting equipment at all times.Respond to signals, hand gestures, and radio communication from other crew members and work in coordination with site operations.Conduct daily pre-shift walk-around inspections and complete all required equipment checklists accurately.Perform basic cleaning and upkeep of assigned equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.Identify and report mechanical issues, defects, or needed repairs to the supervisor immediately.Attend and actively participate in daily safety meetings and job hazard analyses.Report all safety violations, near misses, and incidents immediately to the Supervisor and/or Safety Department.Work collaboratively with crew members to maintain production goals and safe traffic flow on site.Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Superintendent when not operating equipment.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong understanding of job site safety procedures and production earthwork operations.Ability to safely operate equipment with computerized controls and electronic systems.Excellent hand-eye-foot coordination and spatial awareness in active job sites.Ability to read and understand safety rules, site plans, operating instructions, and maintenance guidelines.Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced crew environment.Physical ability to sit for extended periods and work in high-vibration equipment.Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs occasionally.Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and high-stress production environments with shifting priorities.Education and Experience:Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5+ years’ experience operating heavy equipment in civil construction.
