Decoy
Overview
The California Department of Public Health funds the California Decoy Program to support youth ages 16–20 in conducting undercover tobacco compliance checks with Food and Drug Branch (FDB) Investigators. Decoys assist investigators in identifying illegal tobacco and vape sales to minors and help protect public health across California. Please don't apply if you are over the age of 20.
Responsibilities
Communicate promptly with investigators and recruiters
Participate in scheduled undercover compliance checks
Represent the program professionally during field operations
Contribute to improving community health and safety
Experience
No prior experience needed
All training is provided
Ideal for youth interested in public health, law enforcement, community work, or gaining early and unique job experience
Pay: $40.00 per hour
