Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsAs an LPN-LVN Extern, you will be a valued part of the nursing team, using your growing skills and hands-on care to help deliver safe, compassionate patient care. As you advance in your LPN-LVN program and build your expertise, you'll have opportunities to take on more complex procedures and make an even greater impact on patients' lives.Your responsibilities will include:Assisting patients with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), monitoring vital signs, and supporting patient mobility and comfortPerforming nursing tasks like wound care, catheter management, and non-medicated procedures as your skills developDocumenting patient information, observations and changes, and communicating important updates promptly to the nursing teamHelping patients and families understand their care plans and preparing them for recovery through clear, compassionate educationMaintaining a clean, safe patient environment by following safety protocols, managing equipment, and responding quickly to patient needsWhat qualifications you will need:Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateNonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date(NC CNA) Certified Nursing AssistantMission Hospital is located in Asheville, North Carolina.
