Senior Account Manager
ZimZee Recruiting is looking for a Senior Account Manager to support business development efforts within the aerospace and aviation power solutions sector with my client in Wichita, Kansas. This role focuses on managing OEM relationships, identifying new product opportunities, supporting long-term program growth, and serving as a strategic customer partner across commercial, defense, and advanced air mobility markets. The ideal candidate brings aviation industry experience, strong technical sales capability, and a track record of managing complex customer programs from opportunity development through contract execution.Skills and RequirementsMinimum 5+ years of direct aviation industry experience (avionics, aircraft electrical systems, or power solutions preferred)Bachelor's degree in electrical engineer or related fieldProven success managing OEM and/or Defense customer relationships and long-cycle technical sales programsStrong negotiation experience with contracts, proposals, and long-term agreementsAbility to interpret technical requirements and translate them into customer-focused solutionsExperience responding to RFPs and developing compliance matrices and proposalsKnowledge of aerospace market dynamics, product positioning, and competitive strategyDemonstrated project/program coordination skills across internal and external stakeholdersExcellent presentation and executive-level communication skillsKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop and expand relationships with OEM and/or Defense customers to drive new business opportunities and long-term program growthLead proposal development efforts including RFP responses, compliance documentation, and solution positioningNegotiate and execute contracts supporting strategic aviation programs and partnershipsIdentify emerging industry trends, competitive activity, and product opportunities within aerospace power and avionics marketsServe as the primary liaison between customers and internal engineering, program, and leadership teamsDeliver technical sales presentations and coordinate customer engagements, demonstrations, and training initiatives
