Some duties include recording transactions, processing payment with a point-of-sale system; receiving, executing and delivering vertical catering orders; stocking counters and maintaining sanitation standards of café counter, storage areas and in the seating area, maintaining and stocking retail sundry display.Essential Dutes And ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the correct opening procedure is followed: all areas of the café are prepared, tidy and secure, coffee and food service are ready for the day’s serviceProvide excellent customer service to guests by being knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the café’s menu of products—including allergy and dietary restrictionsAccurately and properly record all transactions via the point-of-sale systemCollect the proper payment for food and beverage items via payment cardGreet guests by name, when possible, and upsell based on proactively determining guest needsReceive, execute and deliver orders for the vertical catering program while ensuring guest satisfactionEnsure that all food and beverage cabinets and coolers are stocked and tidy to deliver a full-service experience to every guestEnsure that all condiments and paper goods are stocked and cleaned dailyEnsure food is served at the correct temperature and portion sizeMaintain a clean and well-organized workspace allowing colleagues to locate resources and product as neededAssist in the setup, execution, and clean-up of any Café demonstrations and presentationsEnsure that café seating areas are cleaned and wiped throughout the day and that the floor is clean, swept, and mopped throughout service as needed Ensure all retail items area appropriately stocked and maintainedPerform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standardsAssist with daily, weekly and monthly inventory as neededAttend and participate in mandatory staffing meetings and training programsEnsure that the correct closing procedure is followed: all areas of the café are to be left clean, tidy and secure, restocked and ready for the next day’s serviceComplete all other duties as assigned by supervisorSupervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm.
