LAB SUPERVISOR
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the medical and administrative lab directors, performs a variety of complicated technical assignments with a minimum of supervision. Tasks and objectives assigned are broadly outlined, frequently requiring unique or special abilities and/or training. Plans own approach and progressive stages of work to accomplish desired results. Supervises activities of laboratory staff and processes. Acts as a Laboratory Quality Management System Coordinator working with all Finger Lakes Health Laboratory Departments, Supervisors and Medical Director to ensure compliance with QMS Standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Minimum:
Bachelor degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or other biological science required
LICENSE:
Minimum:
NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license is required.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
4 years experience in performing the duties of a Clinical Laboratory Technologist is required.
SKILLS:
Minimum:
Previous supervisory experience and/or demonstrated ability and interest in supervision.
Salary Range: $46.73-$59.26
