Patient Care Technician(5West)
PCT IUnder the direction of the Registered Nurse, the PCT I at Franciscan performs delegated patient care activities in a manner that is aligned with the age-specific and beneficial needs of the patient. PCT I is an entry level position whose job functions include providing activities of daily living, data collection, patient transporting, and answering calls.Perform activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, oral care, grooming (shaving), urinary catheter and ostomy care; assist with meals and feeding; assist with positioning, ambulation, and mobilization; assist with elimination and toileting. Screening/Collection/Recording data & information: vital signs, intake & output, weights, specimen collection. Restock patient room and unit supplies, perform equipment checks. Transport patients by wheelchair, cart, bed, bassinet.
