Internship Overview Are you interested in uncovering how money moves, solving financial puzzles, and supporting the expert analysis used to settle major insurance and legal claims? Our Forensic Accounting Internship gives college students hands-on experience working alongside experts who analyze financial data for litigation, insurance claims, and complex disputes.Key ResponsibilitiesReview financial reports, schedules, and support documentationParticipate in planning sessions with accounting and engagement teamsInput, organize, and analyze financial and invoice dataConduct research to trace funds and identify assetsVerify claim details using source documentsAssist in the evaluation of insurance claims and economic damagesSupport litigation files, business valuations, and property-related claimsPrepare summaries and reports based on financial findingsComplete industry and company researchHandle additional tasks assigned by your line managerSkills, Knowledge & ExpertiseActively pursuing or holding a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related fieldTypically, senior standing (90+ credits)Prior internship experience preferredMust be able to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environmentProfessional demeanor with strong written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and TeamsAdditional languages considered an assetGrow Your Career at MDDWork on meaningful forensic accounting and investigative projectsGain exposure to litigation support, insurance claims, and valuationsLearn directly from experienced forensic accounting professionalsBuild skills that strengthen your resume and future career pathHigh-performing interns may be considered for full-time opportunitiesAbout DaviesWe are a specialist professional services and technology firm, working in partnership with leading insurance, highly regulated and global businesses.
