Senior Cloud Engineer

Will need to work 2-3 days a week in offices located in Columbus, OH.As a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer, you’ll be joining our team of talented experts. The right candidate will possess the following experience:Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain a custom cloud CLI tool to streamline internal cloud operations and workflowsBuild and manage scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure on AWSDevelop automation solutions using Python to improve provisioning, deployment, and monitoring processesCreate and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub ActionsCollaborate with engineering teams to standardize cloud practices and improve developer experienceImplement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform or similar.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources for cost and efficiencyEnsure cloud environments follow security best practices and compliance standardsContribute to documentation, tooling standards, and internal platform strategyRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related rolesStrong experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, etc.)Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and tool developmentHands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD automationExperience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)Familiarity with REST APIs and CLI tool design patternsStrong understanding of cloud security, networking, and IAM conceptsExperience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflowsPreferred QualificationsExperience building or maintaining developer tools or CLI applicationsFamiliarity with containerization technologies (Docker, ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes)Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus)Experience with multi-account AWS environments and governance strategiesBackground in DevOps or platform engineering practicesMore about G2OWe’re different than other companies at G2O.
