Network Engineer

Position Title: Network Engineer Location: Tallahassee, FLDuration: Long-Term ContractWe are hiring an experienced Network Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in enterprise network infrastructure, cloud networking, wireless technologies, security, and troubleshooting within large-scale environments.Required Skills & ExperienceExperience working in large enterprise network environments (2,500+ users)Strong hands-on experience with Aruba, Cisco, HP Aruba, ClearPass, and AirwaveExperience with LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VeloCloud, and CradlePoint technologiesExpertise in VPN technologies including IPSEC, DMVPN, and GETVPNExperience configuring and supporting Palo Alto and other Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud networkingExperience with ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, VPC/VNet peering, and cloud firewallsStrong troubleshooting skills for QoS, jitter, latency, and VoIP environmentsExperience with Wireless Access Points, RF planning, Heat Maps, and interference troubleshootingHands-on command-line configuration experience with Cisco, Aruba, and Linux systemsScripting experience with Python and PowerShellAbility to create technical documentation and cross-train team membersPreferred SkillsExperience with Cacti, Nagios, SolarWinds, Wireshark, and IPERFExperience with Aruba Central Mobility ControllersLinux system administration experienceExperience with Florida State Government projectsKnowledge of MyFloridaNet (MFN2)Experience in criminal justice/public sector environmentsExperience with OBIS Modernization ProjectsEducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
