Embroidery AssistantTemp to hireNight shift - 3:30PM to 11:00 PM$14.50-$16.50/hrObjective/SummaryThe embroidery assistant is responsible for executing decoration finishing procedures in an efficient manner in adherence to quality standards.Essential FunctionsCut excess material (backing) and trim excess threads off finished products.Marks items with defects such as spots, stains, or snags and communicates with supervisor to rectify issues.Steams decorated items to remove hoop marks.Performs final quality checks in adherence to quality standards.Separates and packs finished products in an organized manner with packing slips when applicable.Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.Complies with all company standards as outlined in the employee handbook.CompetenciesTechnical Capacity - Job KnowledgeThoroughness - Quality of WorkTime Management - Quantity of WorkPersonal Accountability Cooperation/AccountabilityCommunication Proficiency Verbal/Written & Listening SkillsAttendance/PunctualityPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a production facility.The role requires standing for extended periods and may involve bending, lifting, and moving materials.Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate small machinery and tools.The work environment is fast paced with noise from machinery. Ear protection and other safety gear may be required.The work area must be kept clean, organized, and free from hazards.Occasional exposure to steam and cleaning products may occur.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or embroidery environment is a plus.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.Ability to operate machinery and tools used in the trimming and finishing processes.Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Strong communication skills to interact with supervisors and coworkers.Ability to maintain focus and accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment.Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices.
