We are committed to trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care and to building a workplace where clinicians can do their best work without burning out.The OpportunityAs a Lead Clinician at Asteroid Health, you will serve as a central clinical resource for our interdisciplinary team, bringing strong mental health expertise, sound judgment under pressure, and a genuine commitment to client-centered care. You will deliver high-quality clinical services across levels of care, provide support to the Clinical Director, and help maintain the standards that make our programming effective.This is the right role for a clinician who is ready to step into a leadership capacity within a collaborative, mission-driven environment. We are looking for someone who is fully committed to this role, dependable, and ready to show up for their team and their clients consistently.What You&#39;ll DoClinical ServicesProvide individual therapy, group facilitation, and treatment planning across all levels of care in alignment with evidence-based practices and Massachusetts regulationsParticipate actively in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and contribute to collaborative, client-centered care planningComplete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and program standardsProvide clinical supervision to counselors and pre-licensed clinicians in accordance with Massachusetts requirementsSupport continuity of care and coordinate with referral sources and community partners as neededBe available for on-call responsibilities after hours and Evening Program when scheduledClinical LeadershipProvide day-to-day clinical guidance and support to team membersModel professional standards, reliability, and composure under pressureContribute to a team culture grounded in accountability, consistency, and quality careParticipate in monthly medical records reviews and QA/QI meetingsAssist with readiness activities for state licensing visits, audits, and accreditation surveys as requestedWhy Join Asteroid HealthA leadership team that genuinely values clinical input and invests in getting it rightA reflective supervision culture, we practice what we preach when it comes to staff psychological safetyReal opportunity to contribute to programming, not just execute itA caseload and staffing structure designed to be sustainable, not heroicOngoing training, CEU support, and a clear path for clinical advancementRequirementsWhat You BringRequired:Active, unrestricted Massachusetts clinical licensure as LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW, in good standingMaster&#39;s degree or higher in a behavioral health-related field meeting Massachusetts licensure requirementsMinimum 3 years of clinical experience in mental health and/or co-occurring disorder treatmentStrong leadership skills with the ability to guide and support clinical staffFull dedication to this role with no outside business commitmentsWillingness to be on call after hours when scheduledReliable, dependable, and able to perform well under pressureWorking knowledge of ASAM criteria, co-occurring disorder treatment, and medication-assisted treatmentKnowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and Massachusetts behavioral health regulationsProficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation standardsPreferred:Experience in outpatient, IOP, or higher levels of careFamiliarity with QA/QI methodology and data-driven performance improvementBackground in reflective supervision and supporting clinician wellbeingBenefitsCompensation and Benefits$85,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with licensure and experience, plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus. Benefits include health and dental insurance, 401(k), PTO, and Employee Assistance Program.
