TDC TechnicianLocation: San Jose, CADuration: Long term$45/hr to $55/hr on W2Responsibilities:Fabricate and assemble tooling from blueprints and/or verbal directionsPerform precision assembly and alignment procedures on reactor repair toolingEDM/welding actuatorsMeasurement toolsCalibration equipmentCentering fixturesAble to conceive, design, detail and implement modifications to prototype toolsPerform retrofits to existing toolsSupport tool and test engineers during tooling fabrication, assembly, functional and testingInterface with internal and external machine/fabrication shopsAssist with procurement and pick-up of components from vendorsAdept knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electro-mechanical motion control systemsSkills in tool development troubleshooting capabilities and techniquesQualifications:High School Graduate or equivalentMust be proficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with various cultures and at all levels of the organizationMust be available to work weekends and nights as required in support of critical project milestonesUnrestricted authorization to work in the United StatesMust pass a background check and be able to gain unescorted access to nuclear power stationsForklift, crane, and basic rigging operation experienceMust be able to understand schematics and mechanical drawingsPreferred Qualifications/Experience:Minimum of 5 years experience in fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years experience in Mechanical/Dimensional inspectionsPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift loads up to 50 lbs
