Material Process Engineer

Rocketdyne is seeking a skilled Material Process Engineer with a strong background in materials and processes engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will have exposure to the aerospace industry as well as a materials engineering background. This role has both program facing and lab responsibilities. The role will report up within the materials engineering group and be based in Jupiter, FL. Essential Functions: Perform critical manufacturing support across a variety of aerospace components with experience on non-metallics and metallics Perform lab evaluations of metallurgical specimens leveraging tools such as optical and electron microscopy Update and enhance materials specifications and other program requirements Interface with the internal manufacturing team to support processing on-site Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 to 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Strong communication skills and experience delivering reports to internal and external customers Exposure to a variety of materials characterization techniques Exposure to chemical or industrial environments and appropriate safety practices Project management
