At Ash Grove, we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.To learn more about us go to www.ashgrove.comPosition: Summer HelpReports to: Production ManagerShift: VariesPay: $21.17What You’ll Be ContributingPromote and follow all plant safety guidelinesPerforms general clean-up and plant housekeeping duties using a shovel, broom, chipping hammer, pavement breaker, and other assorted hand tools.Performs cleaning of plant equipment, buildings, properties, and grounds; including the following but not limited to building floors, belt conveyors among other equipment.Fill in as needed and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Responsible for recording and maintaining documentation associated with the job-related activity.Assists in plant repair projects and keeps work areas and equipment clean and orderly.Observes all safety rules, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Additional duties as assigned by supervisorTo Succeed In This Position, You Will NeedHigh School diploma or GEDProficient in English written and verbal communication skills.Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. in English required.Strong verbal communication and listening skills.Demonstrated written communication skills.Highly thorough and dependable.Possesses a high degree of initiative.Assumes personal responsibility for actions.Ability to operate a shovel, wheelbarrow, pickup truck, weed eater, hand power tools, etc.Must be at least 18 years of age.Able to pass a post-offer drug screen and physical abilities test.What To Expect In a Cement EnvironmentWork to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.What’s next for you?
