Managing Director - Water Transfer Field Operations
Department: Water TransferLocation: Mansfield, PADescriptionWe are hiring a Managing Director of Water Transfer Field Operations to lead all water transfer activities within a designated region or key operator account. This high-impact leadership role includes managing day-to-day operations, overseeing personnel, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving safety and performance standards. The Managing Director will play a critical role in customer communication, project planning, and supporting the Company’s financial goals.This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and is expected to travel frequently to job sites across the region.ResponsibilitiesOversee Operations Managers, Field Supervisors, and Technicians across all field functionsLead water transfer setup, execution, and demobilization effortsEnsure compliance with company SOPs, safety protocols, and environmental regulationsMonitor budgets, labor, and material costs; report on regional P&L performanceDevelop and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business and account growthCollaborate with Sales, HSE, and HR to support recruitment, training, safety, and performance managementEnsure consistent employee training and operational readiness for all customer job sitesEvaluate operational efficiencies, deploy automation and instrumentation solutions where possibleMaintain accurate field documentation, job cost tracking, and invoicing accuracyParticipate in annual strategic planning and support new market initiativesRequirementsRequired:5+ years of oil and gas industry experience, with a strong background in water transfer or constructionKnowledge of pumping systems, pipe layouts, filtration technology, and hydraulic system designExperience managing large field teams and project operationsStrong customer service and business development mindsetFinancial oversight of project budgets, labor, and material allocationProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)OSHA 40 HAZWOPER and current Safeland certification (or ability to obtain)Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequentlyAbility to work in a constant state of alertness and lead by example in the fieldPreferred Qualifications:B.S. in Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldExperience in managing P&L performance and regional business operationsBackground working with shale gas operators and managing large-scale projectsWorking knowledge of water automation and telemetry systemsMechanical or civil engineering knowledge preferredBenefitsPaid HolidaysMedical / Dental / Vision coverageHealth savings account (HSA)Company Paid Life Insurance and Accidental & Dismemberment InsuranceVoluntary Life Insurance401k with a company matchPaid Time OffEmployee Assistance ProgramProfessional Development ProgramsEmployee Referral ProgramsVoluntary Benefits Offered#INDHP
