HospitalistThe Hospitalist provides comprehensive inpatient medical care to adult patients, managing acute illnesses and complex medical conditions throughout hospitalization. This physician works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based inpatient care and ensure safe transitions of care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide inpatient medical management for adult patients admitted to the hospitalDiagnose, treat, and monitor acute and chronic medical conditionsCoordinate care with consulting specialists and ancillary servicesManage admissions, daily rounding, and patient dischargesInterpret laboratory results, diagnostic studies, and imagingCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and care teamsEnsure timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentationParticipate in quality improvement, patient safety, and peer review activitiesProvide cross-coverage and participate in scheduled hospitalist shifts as assignedQualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency programBoard certified or board eligible in Internal MedicineUnrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in the practicing stateStrong clinical judgment and inpatient care experienceExcellent communication and teamwork skillsWork EnvironmentInpatient hospital settingShift-based schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
