Position SummaryThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across the facility.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipmentDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsRespond to emergency/unscheduled repairs during productionConduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment issuesRead and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work ordersReplace or repair defective parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustmentsAssist with installation and commissioning of new equipmentMaintain accurate maintenance logs and recordsCollaborate with production teams to minimize downtimeEnsure compliance with GMP, OSHA, and company safety standardsMaintain clean and organized work areasParticipate in safety programs and meetingsQualifications & RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required24+ years of maintenance experience (food manufacturing preferred)Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skillsAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsExperience with PLCs and HVAC systems is a plusFamiliarity with GMP, HACCP, or FDA regulations preferredBasic welding or fabrication skills are a plusStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 5075 lbs.Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of handsExposure to machinery, noise, and industrial environmentsMust be able to work safely around mechanical parts and equipmentCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay ($20.00$30.00 based on experience)Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with company participationPaid Vacation and HolidaysPaid Sick TimeHands-on training (GMP, Safety, Equipment)We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.Compensation details:27-33 Hourly Wage
