Job Description New Hope Church of Norfolk is seeking a Church Musician to serve and assist the lead music director for the worship music ministry for New Hope services including in house and out. The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.Job Requirements:Assist Choir director with coordinating the music ministriesWork with the Pastor and staff in general planning and conveying information about the music programIf not available for rehearsal or performance, must arrange for a replacementProvide music for weekly services and occasional festival servicesMust be available and attend all rehearsals as scheduled by choir director in house and outSight reading is a plusAble to play Hammond Organ, keyboard and pianoPlay by ear preferred xmcpwfuMusic theory training requiredExperience:Music: 2-5 years (Preferred)Shifts:Sunday 10 am Service (Required)Job Type: Part-timeSalary: $300.00 to $500.00 /week
