About the Opportunity:The Patient Access Scheduling Representative plays a crucial role in supporting efficient patient care by managing patient access and scheduling functions. This position ensures patients are accurately scheduled, prepared for their services, and that insurance eligibility and authorizations are verified, directly contributing to smooth operational workflows and positive patient experiences.3. Responsibilities:• Schedule, confirm, and modify patient appointments in line with departmental guidelines• Communicate preparation instructions to ensure patients are ready for procedures• Coordinate with referring and ordering providers to arrange appropriate services• Obtain and update patient demographic, insurance, and financial information for accurate registration• Verify insurance eligibility and authorization requirements• Confirm proper patient identification and Medical Record Number assignment• Ensure all necessary orders, authorizations, labs, and related information are in place• Acquire external medical records needed for scheduled services• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and internal departments• Accurately and promptly process patient and provider messages• Support clinicians, technologists, and team members with scheduling and access needs• Perform other assigned duties as required4. Requirements:• High School Education/GED or equivalent required• Associate’s or Technical degree in business or equivalent experience preferred• Minimum of one year customer service experience, preferably in healthcare or a service-oriented environment• Minimum of one year experience in Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, physician office, healthcare insurance, or related field5.
