A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING . . .
Provides excellent customer service
Cuts, grinds, slices, and further processes meat products
Prepares and packages meat department products for retail sale
Handles freight, stocks product and maintains proper signage on all products
Maintains department in a neat, clean, and orderly manner
Keeps up on industry trends, standards, and changes
Stays current with all training including online training and professional development opportunities
Supports and follows all company and department policies
Supports and follows sustainability programs
Supports and follows all safety and security policies
Demonstrates attitude of service to co-workers and customers
Operates within the Company’s Core Values and Company Brand
THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF . . .
Journeyperson level meat cutting experience required
Interest and enthusiasm for meat/cooking
Excellent customer service skills
Must possess an attitude of service to others
Demonstrates self-discipline and accountability
Must be a team player, a leader, and a positive role model
Ability to work independently, as well as with a diverse group of customers, employees, and leadership
Ability to take direction and carry out department tasks and assignments
Must be accurate and detail-oriented
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication
Displays excellent work ethic
Possess full body mobility (bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching) and have excellent manual dexterity
Commitment to personal and professional development
Exemplifies health department standards
Must maintain all required meat cutting/Health Department licenses
Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Must be able to lift and carry 60 lbs.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Must be 18 years or older
Entry Level Compensation
USD $25.15/Hr.
Maximum Compensation
USD $28.70/Hr.
