This role bridges the gap between field execution and corporate accounting.Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Turnaround PlanningBudget Development: Assist the TAR Manager in creating detailed cost estimates based on the work scopeWork Breakdown Structure (WBS): Establish the WBS and cost codes to ensure every dollar spent is tracked to a specific piece of equipment or taskContract Review: Review commercial terms for vendors and contractors to understand rate structures (ST, OT, DT) and equipment rentalsExecution Phase (The "Heat" of the TAR)Daily Cost Tracking: Collect and validate daily "lemons" (Labor, Equipment, Material) from contractorsBurn Rate Analysis: Compare actual daily spend against the planned baseline to identify overruns immediatelyAccruals: Prepare daily/weekly financial accruals for the corporate finance teamChange Order Management: Evaluate the cost impact of "discovery work" and ensure proper authorization before spending occursPost-Turnaround & ReportingFinal Cost Report: Reconcile all invoices against field-verified data to produce a final expenditure reportVariance Analysis: Explain why the event went over or under budget (e.g., "Scope creep in Unit 3 led to a 10% overrun")Benchmarking: Capture data to improve the accuracy of the next TAR cycleRequired Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills:Mastery of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs), SAP/Oracle, and Primavera P65 years experience in industrial construction or maintenance, specifically within petrochem or refiningSoft Skills:High pressure toleranceAssertive diplomacy when dealing with contractorsExtreme attention to detailEducation RequirementsBachelor's degree or Associate degree, or 5 years equivalent experience in industrial construction or maintenance, specifically within petrochem or refiningWork Environment / Physical RequirementsOffice environmentBenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the ClientGlobal leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare, present in 60 countries.About GTTGTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American-owned company in Alaska.
