Material Handler
Novus Technical Services USA is seeking a motivated Material Handler to support commercial and industrial construction operations by receiving, organizing, staging, tracking, and distributing materials and equipment throughout the project site. This role plays an important part in ensuring materials are accurately accounted for and available to operations teams when and where they are needed.
The Material Handler will assist with shipping and receiving, inventory control, material staging, warehouse and laydown yard organization, and the movement of materials throughout the site. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, computer proficiency, and the ability to safely operate material-handling equipment while maintaining accurate digital and physical inventory records.

Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or material handling within a manufacturing, commercial, or industrial environment
Proven ability to follow detailed and complex instructions while maintaining accurate digital and physical records
High level of computer literacy and experience using inventory management systems or related technology
Experience operating warehouse and material-handling equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, palletizers, and saws
Strong organizational skills with the ability to accurately track, locate, and distribute materials
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with operations teams, supervisors, and other project personnel
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is highly desired
Ability to lift, carry, move, stage, and restock materials manually when required
Ability to work in warehouse, manufacturing, and active construction-site environments
Strict adherence to good manufacturing practices, OSHA requirements, and company safety procedures
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
Reliable transportation
OSHA 10 preferred
Valid driver's license with a good driving record preferred
This is a safety-sensitive position; the candidate must complete and pass a background check and a ten-panel drug/alcohol screening.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, unload, and verify incoming materials, equipment, and shipments
Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the project site, warehouse, and designated storage areas
Maintain accurate digital and physical inventory records for materials and equipment
Track material movement, quantities, locations, and distribution to operations teams
Pick, prepare, and issue materials according to project requirements and work schedules
Organize and maintain warehouse, laydown, and material storage areas to ensure materials are easily identifiable and accessible
Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, palletizers, saws, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory counts, cycle counts, and material reconciliation
Coordinate with operations teams to ensure required materials are available to support scheduled work
Identify and report damaged, missing, incorrect, or improperly stored materials
Label, tag, document, and properly store incoming and outgoing materials
Assist with manual material movement and inventory restocking as required
Follow established inventory control procedures and maintain accurate documentation
Maintain clean, organized, and safe material storage and work areas
Follow good manufacturing practices and lean manufacturing principles where applicable
Comply with all OSHA regulations, site requirements, and company safety policies
Perform other duties as assigned
