Maintenance Technician Willowrun Veterinary Hospital is hiring a Full-time Maintenance Technician to work alongside our team of experienced veterinarians, skilled technicians, and devoted support staff to ensure each animal receives the best possible care during their stay with us. Prefer applicants to have veterinary experience, but will consider the desire to learn from the right individual.Requirements & Responsibilities: General maintenance and repairs throughout the hospital. This includes changing light bulbs, minor fixture repair, cleaning (sweeping, dusting,mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming facility spaces; emptying trash containers; bathrooms; etc.).Cleaning equipment and facilities using chemicals and supplies; understands the importance of safety of use of chemicals in our facility. Closely follows OSHA regulations and Safety guidelines.Collect Recycling from all areas of the hospitalWindow CleaningMaintain grounds in a clean and presentable fashion. We employ a lawn service, but general cleanliness and maintenance of the grounds is required. This includes weeding, watering plants, shrub maintenanceMaintain building interior and exterior, contacting specific contractors when necessaryComplete the daily walkthrough maintenance listStock exam rooms, unpack inventory.Sterilize surgery suite dailyPainting and touch-ups of interior rooms, exterior surfaces as neededMaintaining medical and non-medical inventory and notifies the Practice Manager of purchase needsNotifies Practice Manager concerning need for major repairs or additions to lightingPerform minor and routine plumbing and other related maintenance activitiesCleaning and maintenance experience REQUIREDMust have strong time management skills, ability to work independently and efficiently.Must have strong communication skillsMust be willing to help hospital staff when and where neededWhy Willowrun Veterinary Hospital in Smithfield, NC?We're focused on making sure our hospital has the right tools to allow our doctor and medical staff the ability to provide excellent service and care.
