QA Engineer
Job Title: QA Engineer Reports To: Manager, Enterprise Data Work Location: North Phoenix (open outside of AZ, must work AZ hours) Status: Non-Exempt Full Time/Part Time: Full-time Summary: The QA Consultant is responsible for feature testing, system testing, and writing automated tests with limited supervision. This position works closely with Data Engineers, business analysts, and infrastructure engineers through all stages of the software/AI development process to ensure that all systems meet organization standards and end-user requirements. The QA Consultant analyst works on the most complex systems and problems as well as co-ordinates with the Offshore QC analysts if needed. Duties and Responsibilities:Works with project lead and project team to plan, estimate, schedule and execute testing for new applications and including:Validating data pipelines, Data flow, Data accuracy, and all Data governance and quality checksAI/Github CoPilot usage as part of AIDLCEstablishing, organizing and monitoring testing deliverablesDocumenting and executing complex software test plans and strategiesEnsures traceability of test cases back to project requirementsExecuting end to end test scenariosCoordinating and supporting user-acceptance test plansWorking with project management and development staff to report and resolve complex issuesWorks directly with appropriate IT personnel to understand project concept, objectives and approach of software development projects.Ensures software applications are error-free and meet functional requirements.Participate in all aspects of testing at all levels, including functional, system, regression and load testing.Records and reports on testing metricsResponsible for the overall success of testing.Follows documentation standards and ensures support documentation is created and updated as necessary for all standard software.Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or related field or equivalent experience.3+ years experience performing QA activities.SQL database experience. Physical Requirements: The physical requirements for this office role include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, typically up to 8 hours a day, and regularly operate standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Employees should be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally and frequently perform tasks that require typing, writing, and document handling. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with adequate visual and auditory abilities to read materials and participate in meetings.
