Cloud Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Network Engineer to join a major public sector organization— one of the largest government agencies in Los Angeles County, supporting over 30 departments. If you’re an expert in designing resilient, multi-cloud network architectures, this is an exciting opportunity to make an impact at scale.Employment Type: W2 Consultants OnlyLocation: Downey, CA (Hybrid)Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and manage cloud network infrastructure across AWS and Azure.Build highly available and fault-tolerant architectures (multi-region, multi-AZ, failover, DR).Implement hybrid connectivity solutions using AWS Transit Gateway and Azure ExpressRoute.Provision and manage Megaport services, including Virtual Cross Connects (VXCs).Optimize network traffic routing, ingress/egress flows, and path selection across environments.Deploy and manage cloud-native load balancing (ELB, Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway).Configure and support virtual firewall solutions (Palo Alto VM-Series, Cisco CSR 8000v, and native controls).Design secure network architectures, including segmentation, access control, and compliance alignment.Implement VPC/VNet peering, hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity, and distributed architectures.Configure and maintain BGP routing in complex cloud and hybrid environments.Required Experience6+ years of experience in cloud network engineering (AWS & Azure).4+ years designing high availability & resiliency solutions (failover, disaster recovery).4+ years hands-on with advanced cloud networking services (Transit Gateway, ExpressRoute, load balancing).4+ years experience with Megaport networking and VXC provisioning.Strong background in traffic engineering, routing optimization, firewall deployment, and secure connectivity.Certifications (At least one required)AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.AWS Certified Solutions Architect.Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer AssociateWhat We’re Looking ForDeep expertise in multi-cloud networking (AWS + Azure).Strong grasp of network security principles and compliance-driven design.Hands-on experience with hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity patterns.Proven ability to architect and support large-scale, critical systems.If you're passionate about cloud networking and want to contribute to a large-scale public sector environment—apply now!
