They must also repair any issues that are discovered during the inspection process using various techniques. Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.Job Requirements:Use different measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, Micrometers, depth micrometers, dial bore gauges, gauge blocks and telescoping gauges.Documenting measurements on the proper forumsInspect bearings fits of different kinds of electric motors, pumps and, gear reducersBore and sleeve worn housings back into toleranceMetalize worn bearing journals and turn to sizeMachine and replace shafts from raw stockPerform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, milling, and boring using vertical mills.Perform lathe operations such as rough and finish turning, threading, boring, cutting tappers, drilling , tappingand grooving.Machine parts per sample brought from customerReverse engineer broken parts to machine newMake improvements to broken parts to help eliminate failuresThreading parts including standard and metric internal and externalRemoval of broken boltsWelding including ARC, MIG and TIGUsing hand tools such as band saws, belt sanders, hand grinders.Aid mechanics in disassembly processBalance rotating equipmentTroubleshoot, repair, and rebuild industrial equipment such as motors, pumps etc.Read and interpret schematics, plans, and operating manualsAssemble and disassemble partsJob RequirementsHigh School diploma or GED requireduse of calipers and micrometersAbility to indicated parts in on a mill and lathe with a 4 jaw chuckUnderstanding of speeds and feedsAbility to read and understand basic printsAbility for basic milling operations such as drilling bolt holes and milling keyways.Ability for basic turning operations such as turning various diameters to size and length.Written/verbal communicationUnderstanding mechanical equipmentOrganization skillsPrior industrial maintenance experience preferredQualified person must have at least basic mechanical skills, preferably industrial.
