Compensation: $90,000 - $140,000 (Experience Dependent)
About the Opportunity
A well-established Southern California design-build and specialty construction organization is seeking a talented Landscape Architect to join its growing team. This opportunity offers the chance to work on high-profile commercial, civic, institutional, hospitality, and public-space projects throughout California.
The ideal candidate is a creative, technically strong professional with experience designing outdoor environments, hardscapes, streetscapes, plazas, parks, and site development projects from concept through construction.
Responsibilities
Develop landscape architecture concepts, site plans, planting plans, hardscape layouts, and construction details.
Prepare design and construction documents for a variety of commercial, institutional, and public-sector projects.
Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and construction teams throughout project development.
Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and consultant management.
Participate in client presentations, design reviews, and project meetings.
Review project documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Conduct site visits, field observations, and construction administration activities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are executed successfully in the field.
Support permitting, agency coordination, and entitlement processes as needed.
Stay current on industry trends, materials, sustainability initiatives, and best practices.
Qualifications
3+ years of professional landscape architecture experience.
Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) license preferred but not required.
Experience with commercial, municipal, institutional, hospitality, mixed-use, or public works projects.
Strong knowledge of site planning, grading, planting design, irrigation concepts, and hardscape design.
Ability to interpret construction documents and technical specifications.
Excellent communication, organization, and project coordination skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Experience
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
Parks, plazas, streetscapes, civic spaces, or large-scale site development projects.
Coordination with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and public agencies.
Construction administration and field observation experience.
Client facing/Business Development experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Land F/X, Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or similar design software.
Knowledge of California codes, accessibility standards, and sustainable design practices.
