CashierLocation: Rainbow Acres Natural Foods, Venice, CA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Reports to: Department ManagerPosition SummaryThe cashier is the face of our store and plays a critical role in creating a friendly and efficient checkout experience for customers. This position requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Core ResponsibilitiesGreet every customer warmly and professionally.Accurately ring up purchases using the POS system.Accept and process various forms of payment (cash, credit, EBT, etc.).Count back change and handle money with accuracy.Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked register area.Uphold store policies and health/safety standards.Support opening and closing duties including facing shelves and restocking supplies.Assist customers with questions and direct them to the appropriate department.Notify supervisors of any customer or equipment issues.Key Qualifications6+ months of retail or cashiering experience preferred.Strong math and communication skills.Friendly, patient, and positive attitude.Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.Familiarity with natural foods and wellness products is a plus.Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.Success in This Role Looks LikeSmooth, efficient transactions with minimal errors.Happy, returning customers who feel seen and appreciated.A clean, well-managed front-end that sets the tone for the store.Customer Service: No incidents of three stars or less in customer reviews.Safety: Follow all safety policies and procedures.Merchandising: Help the department achieve 95% or better in merchandising audits.Profit: Help the store meet or beat profit budget.Working at Rainbow Acres Natural FoodWe are a values-driven business dedicated to health, community, and sustainability.
