We’re looking for a motivated Estimator to support our Sales & Estimating Team in preparing competitive project bids and delivering exceptional client service.We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Low Voltage & Electrical Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing project plans, specifications, and technical documents to prepare accurate estimates and competitive bid proposals for electrical and low‑voltage systems. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, a solid understanding of industry materials and installation methods, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. You will work closely with project managers, sales staff, and vendors to ensure each estimate is complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.Duties/Responsibilities:As our Estimator, you’ll play a key role in helping our team prepare accurate and timely project proposals by:Reviewing and analyzing project drawings & specifications to understand scope, technical needs, and job requirements.Performing quantity takeoffs, identifying required materials, equipment, and labor for electrical and low‑voltage systems.Preparing and typing project documentation, including RFIs, Bills of Material, and vendor requests.Organizing bid-related communications—invitations, addendums, and critical due dates—to keep the estimating process running smoothly.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.Ability to read and understand construction plans and schematics.Have a basic understanding of low voltage systems such as; Data Cabling, Intrusion and Security, Public Address, and Fire Alarm.Have an understanding of electrical pathways and required components in order to design and perform takeoffs.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred Experience:Previous experience in the Public Bidding Process.Previous experience using Gordian for JOC projects or equivalent.Previous experience using McCormick Estimation Software or equivalent.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
