Plumbing Inspector

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a qualified Plumbing Inspector to perform inspections of residential and commercial plumbing systems in the Port St. Lucie area. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of plumbing codes, inspection procedures, and construction practices, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with contractors and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, waste, vent, gas piping, and fixturesEnsure compliance with the Florida Building Code, Plumbing Code, and applicable local regulationsReview approved plans and specifications prior to inspectionsIdentify code violations and provide clear, accurate correction noticesDocument inspection results using electronic inspection systems or written reportsCommunicate inspection findings with contractors, engineers, and property ownersMaintain accurate and organized inspection recordsStay current with code updates and regulatory changesMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum 3 years of experience in plumbing inspection or the plumbing tradeStrong working knowledge of plumbing codes and standardsICC Plumbing Inspector Certification (required)Valid Florida driver’s licenseAbility to read and interpret construction plans and plumbing diagramsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsState of Florida Plumbing Inspector licenseJourneyman or Master Plumber backgroundExperience inspecting residential and commercial construction projectsPrior experience working with municipalities or permitting agencies
