Job Title: Behavioral Aide (BHT) & Sitter Services – Contract Positions (Immediate Openings) Location: Birmingham, AL, and surrounding areas Job Type: Contract | In-PersonNow Hiring – Immediate Opportunities AvailableWe are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Aides (BHTs) and Sitter Service Providers to join our team in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. Ideal candidates are dependable, motivated, and passionate about supporting individuals with mental health and developmental needs.RBT-certified candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.Position OverviewBehavioral Aides ($14–$16/hour): Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with mental health conditions and/or developmental disabilities.Sitter Services ($10–$14/hour): Provide supervision and hands-off care to ensure client safety and well-being.Both roles serve as an extension of DHR, monitoring client behavior and documenting observations through detailed progress notes.Key ResponsibilitiesObserve and document client behaviors and report updates to DHRProvide appropriate intervention, including verbal and/or physical de-escalation when necessaryMaintain accurate and timely progress notesSupport a safe and structured environment for clientsFollow all assigned care plans and DHR directivesRequired QualificationsValid government-issued ID and ability to pass a background checkReliable transportationHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year experience in a related field (healthcare, education, childcare, or behavioral support)Strong communication and teamwork skillsGenuine interest in working with special needs populationsCertifications (Required within 30 days of hire):CPI (Handle With Care or equivalent)CPR/First AidPreferred QualificationsRBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certificationExperience working with children or young adults with behavioral or developmental needsCore CompetenciesStrong observation and documentation skillsCompassion and professionalismEmotional stability and sound judgmentFlexibility and adaptability in dynamic environmentsAbility to remain calm under pressureCommitment to ethical conduct and client-centered careWork Environment & Physical RequirementsFlexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to stand for extended periodsAbility to safely implement physical interventions when necessary (training provided)Capability to respond quickly in high-stress situations, including assisting or redirecting clientsTravel RequirementsUp to 25% travel depending on client assignmentContractors may accept or decline assignments based on locationEqual Opportunity EmployerM Group Alabama is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
