Job Description:Job SummaryAssistant Teachers support the planning and implementation of educational programs for children ranging from infants through school age, depending on program needs. This entry-level role assists in facilitating age-appropriate activities, promoting childrens social and emotional development, and ensuring consistent supervision in a safe, healthy, and supportive environment.Essential FunctionsSupport the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with learning foundations and childrens interestsHelp maintain intentional, enriched, and supportive learning environments and quality experiencesBuild authentic, culturally responsive relationships with children, families, and team membersEnsure childrens health and safety through proper supervision, positive interactions, and adherence to safety standardsWork collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver high-quality programs and positive workplace cultureWork Environment ExpectationsDemonstrate positive, respectful interactions with children and youthMaintain safe emotional and physical environmentsEnsure regular attendance, punctuality, and active participationEngage in both indoor and outdoor programmingBe physically and mentally capable of meeting the needs of children up to 13 years of ageFollow safety guidelines, report concerns, and remain calm during emergency or first-aid situations Physical & Environmental ConditionsWork in indoor and outdoor environments, including safe weather conditionsConduct visual safety checks and implement preventative measuresTolerate occasional loud noise during activitiesPerform frequent bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, and pullingLift and carry items up to 15 lbs. individually or with assistanceNavigate playground equipment, uneven terrain, and varied surfacesAdapt to childrens physical levels by sitting, kneeling, or squattingSupervise off-site activities and field trips as required Qualifications & ExperienceRole OverviewAssistant Teachers work under the direction and supervision of lead teaching staff and support daily classroom operations.EducationEducation and permit requirements may vary by program and age groupOne of the following is required:6 semester units (or equivalent quarter units) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field with passing grades, orAccredited certificate of training in child care or related fields Experience & SkillsSix months of experience in a group care or classroom setting preferredStrong communication, classroom management, and problem-solving skillsEffective organization, time management, and basic documentation abilitiesAbility to collaborate within a professional team environmentAdult and infant/child CPR & First Aid certification preferredBilingual or multilingual skills preferred based on program needsWorking Place:Rocklin, California, United StatesCompany :
