It combines equipment operation with training duties to ensure smooth and secure daily workflows. As a Corrections Equipment Operator, you will perform the following duties:Vehicle Operation:Operate tractor-trailers, trucks, and other vehicles to complete daily assignmentsEquipment Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance, safety checks, and minor repairs on assigned equipmentDocumentation Tasks:Complete receipts, reports, and logs in line with policies and proceduresInmate Training:Train and oversee inmate workers in freight loading, unloading, and basic equipment careWorksite Safety:Safeguard the work area by issuing tools, maintaining inventory, and conducting contraband searchesInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 40 hours per weekWork hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday.This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $47,925.00 (before taxes).You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
