Operations Data Analyst, Associate Location: Oakland, CA Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid up to 3 days per week in office, with potentially 1 day per week at OGO required for certain weeks Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 4 months Pay Rate: $35.00 $40.00 / Hour (USD) Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. Job Summary This role focuses on managing standard, routine data analysis projects with limited supervision from initial request through presenting data results ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time. The associate will work closely with other Data Management Analysts to process, analyze, and report findings, while creating automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery that ensure accurate data manipulation and cleansing. A core area of emphasis is the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and related tools), with scope ranging from requirements gathering to building, optimizing, and maintaining solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving, critical thinking, curiosity, tenacity, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Key Responsibilities Manage standard, routine data analysis projects with limited supervision from initial request to presenting data results, ensuring that the project is completed within budget and on-time. Work with other Data Management Analysts to process data, analyze data, and report findings; create automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery ensuring accurate data manipulation and data cleansing. Manage standard data extracts and list pulls ensuring accurate data; transfer the data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts. Demonstrate full understanding of data processing and analysis techniques; analyze data using various statistical tools to develop ad hoc reports, statistics, trends, and profiles. Develop and communicate clear, concise, and actionable data analyses for clients. Required Skills Dashboards and reporting Data governance Records management Audit readiness and audit-ready documentation Tracker accuracy Trend analysis Root cause analysis Folder structures and data logging taxonomy Logging automation Problem solving, critical thinking, nimble, tenacious, curious, and ability to navigate through ambiguity Preferred Skills Familiarity with utility operations Skilled in Microsoft Excel/Access (complex formulas, graphing, VBA) Skilled writing SQL queries using Oracle or Business Objects Skilled developing dashboards (Power BI) Skilled developing and reporting metrics and KPIs Experience in UNIX shell programming (csh, awk, sed, vi) Knowledge of base-SAS and programming languages such as Visual Basic, Perl, C Able to analyze and interpret data and effectively communicate findings Education Requirements BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field, or equivalent work experience Required Experience Minimum 2 years of related work experience Important Notes Local candidates only; OGO or Sacramento region preferred. A client-provided laptop will be issued. If there is a backlog, the vendor is to provide a laptop or the candidate may utilize a personal device with Citrix until the laptop is available. Any other equipment must be vendor-provided or utilize personal devices.
