Job Details Job Location: Monarch Mountain - SALIDA, CO 81201 Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 Hourly JOB SUMMARY The Ski & Ride School Department is a fun and exciting way to join the on-mountain ski industry and the Monarch family. Instructors are responsible for coaching guests in skiing and/or snowboarding, continues to develop his or her own skills as an instructor, and maintains clientele through proactive service and sales efforts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Coach guests in the tactics of skiing or snowboarding, providing them with a positive and quality experience that exceeds their expectations and within the realm of the PSIA/AASI teaching methodologies. Work as a team with other members of all Monarch departments to provide exceptional service. Assist with lesson line-ups as requested. Develop skiing/boarding and teaching skills throughout the season. Fulfill department schedule and commitment levels to meet operational needs Other duties as assigned. Can work any hours during the business day including mornings, evenings or split shifts, and any days of the week (including weekends and holidays) JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Age: 16 Legal citizen of the United States or possess other proper work permit authentication. Background check required. Ski/ride at an intermediate level. Ability to push, lift, and move up to 35 lbs. Member of PSIA/AASI and certifications preferred. Prior instructor experience preferred. Requires working at high elevation (up to 12,000’), with extended exposure to adverse weather conditions, such as severe cold, heavy snowfall, rain, strong winds and intense sun. JOB TYPE Winter Seasonal COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Compensation: Begins at $18 per hour, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience/length of service.
