Junior Interior Designer

Description: To mainly assist the work load of the Designer and/or Senior Designer on client projects to help ensure a smooth operation of job description mentioned below, while playing a critical role in production.DesignProduce drawings and presentation documents for review by Senior Designers for construction of projects including, but not limited to, plans, elevations, sections, perspectives, renderings, powerpoint presentations, and mood boards.Serves as a primary resource for the senior designer and principal designer and assists design teams with any project-related work.Take notes during meetings, write up, and save in system for review.Attend meetings, installations, and on-site visits with designer and/or clients.Provide direction and answer questions to outside subcontractors and vendors under the direction of senior designer.Assist in developing preliminary design using sketches and drawings as needed to communicate concept under direction of senior designer.Assist in developing color and material options for review by Senior and/or Principal Designer including but not limited to finishes, furniture, art, & accessories.Assist with the development of technical/design solutions using AutoCAD or Revit.Provide design information by answering questions and requests when applicable to vendors, subcontractors.Assist with coordinating and organizing client and vendor appointments and/or installations.Self-educate re: current and changing design technology and trends.AdministrativeAssist in data entry, proposal, and ordering process to ensure Studio M and client milestones and timeline expectations are met.Assist procurement team as needed to track purchase orders for clients; update clients bimonthly re: project progression and product location.Assist in keeping resource room organized and current.Provide Administrative and facility support for client meetings.Keep track of own time spent on project(s), enter time into Studio Designer weekly.Keep track of travel time as necessary.Assist to maintain office filing and client binders if necessary.Assist with work-related errands, as requested, such as going to vendor showrooms, post office(s), subcontractor offices.Assist with phone calls and sharing messages with the team.Assist with mail and package delivery.
