Financial Planning Analyst
Position Summary
The Financial Planning Analyst supports enterprise-wide financial planning initiatives across the pediatric health system. This position is responsible for short- and long-term financial planning, including the annual operating budget, rolling forecasts, and the strategic long‑range financial plan. The analyst collaborates with regional finance and operational teams to ensure financial goals align with organizational strategy. This position manages financial planning systems and budget configurations to support accurate and efficient planning processes.
Position Duties
Financial Planning
Leads the development and coordination of the annual operating budget across departments and regions.
Manages rolling forecasts and provides variance analysis to support proactive financial decision‑making.
Supports the creation and maintenance of the strategic long‑range financial plan.
Collaborates with regional finance and operational teams for inputs into the annual operating budget, monthly forecasts, and strategic long‑range financial plan.
Financial Planning Systems & Support
Maintains and configures financial planning systems to ensure accurate and efficient budgeting processes.
Develops financial models and tools to support planning and forecasting activities.
Ensures data integrity and consistency across financial systems and reports.
Provides training and support to users of financial planning systems.
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.

Position Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: Three (3) or more years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
Experience: Experience in pediatric healthcare financial planning.
Special Skills: Proficiency in financial planning systems and tools (e.g., Strata, Oracle, Workday Planning).
Special Skills: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with advanced Excel capabilities.
Special Skills: Knowledge of healthcare budgeting and reimbursement models.
Special Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Additional Requirements: CPA, CHFP, FHFMA.
