DuPage County is an Equal Opportunity EmployerResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:Coordinates with other departments to collect and input the information required for the federally mandated assessments (MDS)Monitors input to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance with reimbursement authorities and standardsReviews clinical charts and condition of patientsPlans and coordinates resident's plan of care with other members of the interdisciplinary teamDiscusses resident condition with physicians, nursing staff and family membersCompletes the computer database required for the MDSOversees documentation to comply with Medicare or Illinois Department of Public Aid reimbursement rulesLeads care plan conferences and other interdisciplinary meetingsInterprets resident charts to accurately complete sections of the MDSReviews resident charts for contradictions in information and researches any contradictions to determine what is validStays current with job related professional developments, regulations and standardsRecommends hires and promotions, directs and evaluates employment decisions for all assigned positionsMay perform the duties of a Registered Nurse as assignedRequirements IncludeRequirements include the following experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience:Completion of coursework for a diploma in Nursing from an accredited college or universityOne(1) year experience working with MDSThis position requires possession of a current license in Illinois as a Professional Registered Nurse (RN) and a Resident Assessment Coordinator CertificationA post offer physical is required.
