Job Title:RN - Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit (CVU) - DaysPosition OverviewThe Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) at Medical Center is a 30-bed specialty unit that provides care for medium-to-high acuity patients requiring advanced nursing interventions. This includes both medical and surgical patients in pre-operative and post-operative phases.Patients are typically stable but may become unstable, often presenting with complex conditions and multiple comorbidities. The CVU patient population ranges from young adults to geriatric patients.Common diagnoses and procedures include:Cardiac conditions and acute myocardial infarction (MI)Post-cardiac artery bypass surgery and carotid endarterectomyPacemaker insertion and arrhythmia managementCongestive Heart Failure (CHF), pneumonia, and similar conditions The nurse-to-patient ratio will not exceed 1:4.RequirementsActive California RN licenseCurrent BLS and ACLS certificationsEPIC charting experienceMinimum 2 years of Critical Care experienceFlexibility to float to other units (including Med/Surg) Specialties ConsideredCardiac Progressive Care (CPCU)CVICU / Cardiovascular ICUTelemetry - CardiacCritical Care (CCU) Facility DetailsClient Name: Medical CenterLocation: Chico, CA 95926Bed Size: 150-500Trauma Level: II Enloe Medical Center accepts only W-2 agency staff.
