We’re looking for a reliable, personable, and sales-driven Front Desk Sales Associates to join our team. This role combines sales responsibilities, customer service, and operational support to ensure our students have an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive and that our teachers can focus on teaching their amazing classes.About YouProven experience in sales, customer service, or hospitality.Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping people.Comfortable meeting and exceeding sales targets in a commission-based role.Comfortable proactively creating sales opportunities by asking questionsComfortable with upholding studio policesPhysically able to perform cleaning tasks on a 8 ft tall ladderPhysical ability to set up event equipment.Available evenings and weekends; flexibility for special events.Must pass a LiveScan background check (required for kids’ classes).Reliable transportation with room to fit aerial rigPosition OverviewThe Front Desk Sales Associate plays a key role in creating an outstanding first impression, driving membership sales, retaining current members, and keeping the studio running smoothly before, during, and after classes and parties. This position is perfect for someone who loves connecting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is motivated by commission-based earnings.ResponsibilitiesOpening & Studio OperationsArrive 20 minutes before class starts to prepare the studio.Park on the street (retail lot reserved for customers).Coordinate with the parking attendant to keep spaces open for guests; if not present, contact the attendant/property management and ticket unauthorized vehicles.Wear an Open Aerial Yoga logo shirt or jacket while on shift.Light cleaning: vacuuming, emptying Roomba, dusting, cleaning mirrors/windows (ladder use required), refilling restrooms, laundry, trash removal, organizing props, and starting the Roomba before leaving.Monitor inventory and alert ownership when supplies are low.Troubleshoot studio technology (speakers, internet, credit card machine).Check mail and send photos to owner.Light errands such as picking up print orders, Amazon returns or studio supplies; occasional personal errands for ownerFront Desk Sales & Guest ExperienceHave a plan before class of high priority sales opportunitiesGreet every student by name with a warm smile and let them know we were expecting themProvide welcome packets and tours to new students.Ensure waivers are signed before students access hammocks.Ensure all guests have a credit card on file.Educate and enforce safety policies (no jewelry, accessories, or items that could damage hammocks)Help students book their next visit before leaving.Proactively Convert:-Drop-in students to the intro offer-Intro offer students to monthly memberships.-Monthly members to teacher trainings, retreats, and private parties.Collect Google reviews and Instagram follows.Opt students into email and SMS marketing when permittedProcess in-person paymentsHandle failed payment follow-up.Downsell membership cancellations when possible.Downtime during class will be filled with various sales, marketing, and customer service tasks that will include multiple different softwares, spreadsheets, and social media. Will be required to become proficient in Walla, Canva, Meta, Instagram, Facebook, Google Suite, and possibly more.For the right person who shows quality work and trustworthiness, added hours may become available to help with more complex marketing and reporting needs.Daily Sales CallsEarn commission on every sale closed over the phone.Community Outreach & EventsRepresent Open Aerial Yoga at local farmers markets, street fairs, wellness pop-ups, and Chamber of Commerce eventsHelp set up and break down our portable aerial rig; reliable transportation required with space for equipment.Events are typically on weekends.Compensation & Perks$16.50/hour + uncapped commission on membershipsComplimentary stand by staff membershipPaid training, including basics of Aerial Yoga and taking classesAvailable Shifts- times subject to slight changesMonday Tuesday and Wednesday, 4:40pm-8:55pm Thursdays 3:25pm-8:55pm (just because of the added kids class)Our owner is on site on Fridays so there is no current need for Friday shiftsSaturdays 8:40am-12:40pm for public classes, plus most weekends have a need for help with partiesSundays 8:40am-11:25am for public classes, plus most weekends have a need for help with partiesPlus our famous Aerial Sound Bath every Sunday at 6:40pm-8:10pmThis is a minimum of 26.5 hours per week totalWe are looking to potentially hire 2 Sales Associates, 1 person for weekdays and another for weekends with availability to cover for each other. If 1 person is genuinely available 6 days a week, that may be considered. These Sales Associates will work together as a team with each other as well as our owner and teachers to keep the studio running smoothly.
