We're completing our federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt and we're building the governance foundation to match our missionThe Role: Board Secretary (Volunteer)We are seeking a California-based Board Secretary to join our founding board during our formation stage. Your will work closely with the Founder and directly shape how this organization stands up legally, operationally, and in the communityCore responsibilities:Record and maintain accurate board meeting minutes and governance documentationSupport compliance with California nonprofit governance requirementsCoordinate board communications and organizational recordsAssist with research related to fiscal sponsorship pathwaysLight administrative coordination as needed during the 501(c)(3) processTime commitment: Flexible and light estimated 4–8 hours/month at current stageWho You AreYou bring experience in one or more of the following:Nonprofit governance, operations, or administrationLegal, compliance, or corporate secretary functionsMission-driven organizations or community-centered workYou are organized, dependable, and care deeply about building something that lasts.
