Whether a planned project or an emergency response, Mersino meets challenges with expertise, equipment, and service.We move water.Job Summary:This position is responsible for driving and operating the company's long and short-distance heavy trucks.Typical Duties and Responsibilities:Operate company owned and leased trucks over 4 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operationsOperate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products and materialsPerform required before-, during-, and after-operation "user maintenance" and provide required reportsProvide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operationsMaintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programsMaintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent conditionPerform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operationsUnderstand, complete and manage required technical documentationDrive heavy truck equipment on both short and long-distance routes as requiredAbility to make overnight runs as required by shipping needsMust be able to learn to operate all MHE used by the companyAbility to work outside in various weather conditions.Ability to work flexible schedule to meet job requirementsEnsures that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activitiesQualifications:CDL A required1 or more year(s) experience as truck driverHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredThis job has specific DOT requirements.A person is qualified to drive a motor vehicle if he/she:Is at least 21 years old;Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records;Can, by reason of experience, training, or both, safely operate the type of commercial motor vehicle he/she drives;Is physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with subpart E-Physical Qualifications and Examinations of this part;Has a currently valid commercial motor vehicle operator's license issued only by one State or jurisdiction;Is not disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the rules in 391.15.* Please see the link: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-49/subtitle-B/chapter-III/subchapter-B/part-391Specific Expectations:The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesAbility to travel long-distance and overnightRequires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkwardDisclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
