Job DescriptionMove loads around the truck yard and periodically off-site, a few blocks from the facility. Ability to back up trailers to dock doors, often with other trailers on either side of the dockVerify loads for accuracy, i.e., proper paperwork, DOT trailer seal, etc. Use of other warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, manual jacks, and forkliftsOccasionally assist the shipping/warehouse department with manually loading and unloading trucks with products up to 35 lbs.Basic vehicle maintenance, clean out the truck before or after movingPerform pre- and post-trip inspections RequirementsClass AGood customer service & teamwork skillsGood physical condition; must be able to get in and out of trucks several times per dayAble to work in all types of environments, including inclement weatherGood backing skillsRecent verifiable driving experience or relatedCurrent DOT medical cardNo DUI/DWI, Careless/Reckless driving citations, or revoked/suspended license in the past 5 yearsNo more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 yearsMVR required for interview (current, dated within 30 days of application)Before employment, able to pass a complete DOT physical, drug screen, criminal background check, and road testAvailable for any shift.Able to lift 35 pounds.Work jobs that have repetitive motion.Follow safe work practices and rules.Able to prove they have a right to work in the United States.Successfully pass a physician’s examination, drug screen, and background check.Be willing to have a baseline audiometric testPrefer high school graduates or GEDsSufficient work experience to be successful on the jobPay: The range is $26.51 – 28.00 per hour.
